Information we collect

We collect account details such as name and email; event, guest, RSVP, gift and giver information supplied by hosts or invited guests; photos, captions and messages; transaction and subscription references; device and diagnostic information needed for security and reliability; and communications sent to support.

How we use information

We use information to authenticate users, operate private event and gift-story pages, process RSVPs and check-ins, resize and store photos, process payments, send requested service notices, prevent abuse, provide support and improve reliability.

Service providers

Given Dearly uses Firebase for authentication, database and photo storage; Netlify for hosting and server functions; Stripe for payment processing and billing; and Resend for transactional service email. These providers process information according to their own terms and privacy commitments.

Payments

Payment-card details are collected and handled by Stripe. Given Dearly does not store complete card numbers or security codes.

Private pages and sharing

Anyone possessing a valid invitation, event or gift-story link may be able to view the information published at that link. Hosts control who receives those links. We do not sell personal information or use private event photos for advertising.

Children’s photographs

The service is intended for adult hosts, not direct use by children under 13. Adults who upload photographs of children are responsible for having appropriate authority and consent. Contact us to request review or removal of content involving a child.

Retention and deletion

Active content is retained while needed to provide the service. Subscription cancellation changes eligible events to read-only archives rather than deleting them. Hosts may delete events through the recycle-bin flow, which includes a recovery period before permanent deletion. Legal, security and transaction records may be retained as required.

Your choices

You may update account and event information, cancel subscriptions through billing management, delete events, or request access, correction or deletion assistance by contacting help@givendearly.com.

Security

We use access controls, encrypted connections, restricted server credentials, private codes and file limits. No online system can guarantee absolute security; report suspected unauthorized access promptly.
