Given Dearly
Birthday guide

Birthday party invitation wording for the people you love.

A birthday invitation only needs a few things: who you are celebrating, when to arrive, where to go and how to reply. Then add one line that sounds like your family.

A classic birthday invitation

“Join us as we celebrate [name] turning [age]! We will gather on [date] at [time] at [location]. Please RSVP to [name] by [date].”

For a child’s party

“Cake, play and one very happy birthday kid. Join us to celebrate [name] on [date] at [location]. Please RSVP by [date].”

For an adult milestone

“Come raise a glass and celebrate [name]’s [age] birthday with us. [Date], [time] and [location]. Please let us know by [date] if you can join us.”

What to include

  • Birthday person’s name and age, if you want to share it.
  • Date, time, location and a clear RSVP deadline.
  • Parking, food, attire or sibling notes that affect guests.
  • One optional link for a wish list only if people have asked.

Keep the invitation and gratitude together

Given Dearly gives guests one private place to RSVP, find the details and later see a thoughtful thank-you for the gift they chose.
